La Crucesita is the main town in the Huatulco area. It is home to the many residents that were bought out when the National Park and nature reserve were formed. Original residents are given priveleges for trade and business in the area. If for example they wish to open a store in the market or operate a cab they will get priority over people that moved there after the park was created. This town and neighbouring Santa Cruz are unbelievably clean.

La Crucesita market area. I just love the colours and action in markets. However, you do want to avoid the meat market.
